All of a sudden almost everything is getting smaller. The font in the posting window is miniscule, but then in the post it is a normal size. Everything else is in very small type. I know I'm getting old but I don't think it's my eyes this time.

ctrl+ should do the trick
Posted by Preston McCall (Member # 351) on :
I use Ctrl+ on my bank account, frequently and it does seem to help?
Posted by Rusty Bradley (Member # 6938) on :
Sonny Franks recently turned me on to that trick...so I'm Ctrl+ and Ctrl- all the time now...very useful and the fastest method.

Have you seen a copy of Time Magazine lately? Most of it is unreadable, because of teenyweeny type, in pale colors, and a crazy-quilt layout. It's the trend of the times.

Dual 23" monitors are big enough for me. This is a CHANGE in appearance OP. Type in the message box and the main topics page is small. All of the comments are normal size.

sounds like OPERATOR ERROR........or macs dont allow them???hahahahahahahah

I've read about hooking TVs to Macs. I suppose that would be good enough for the internet. ))))))

OP, well smart azz, it's the same on my Dell laptop. Mac's don't allow what, big monitors? Why do you continue to talk about things you know noting about? My Mac pro can handle six 27 inch displays or five 27" and one 30 " display and tap into a teraflop of graphics power. Is that enough for you?

ok- back to the original topic- I haven't noticed anything that has changed here on any of my computers- everything looks the same to me...
Posted by Russ McMullin (Member # 5617) on :
I haven't noticed any difference. Do you have a screenshot?
Posted by Dave Sherby (Member # 698) on :
Here's a screen shot.
Edit: OK, it's at max allowable resolution and kind of fuzzy so you'll need to zoom in. Type in the comment box is still unreadable, but I stated that everything from the comment box to the bottom of the page is much smaller than it used to be even though the comments themselves are normal size. Also, in every thread, some of the dividing lines between posts are missing. In this thread the missing lines are between Preston's and Rusty's comments.

Well thanks for the Control+ and - trick. I never used it. I have always used control and scroll the mouse.

Speaking of keyboard shortcuts- Love the ol' trusty- Control C, for copy, and Control V for paste.

I don't see anything different. Have you asked Barb? I don't know how often she's in here.

Could it be a browser issue with incompatability with Letterville? I am experiencing that with IE 8 and one website I go to.
Posted by Dave Grundy (Member # 103) on :
I find that Letterville is way slow to react on my regular desktop and ISP here at home, but on the laptop at a different locatiom, everything is fine.
No change in letter size either way. Just the speed of loading.

This forum software is nine years old, which is 50 computer years. That could well be enough to cause some problems. I don't really think I own any software that old that still works with anything.
If that's the case, it's doing well, all things considered.
