Hi everyone. Could someone recommend a cheap vinyl slitter? I'd like to make my own striping!
Thanks always, Felix

Do you have a pin feed vinyl cutter? I cut stripes on mine.

Hey Diane! Not sure what I pin feed is, but I'm talking long lenghts, to put on boats I'm sure a 50' x 1/4" stripe would go off track on my li'l graphtec!

Thanks OP. That's what I currently use.

anything below 3/4 of an inch wide should be bought on a roll. it is on backing paper, and has tranfer tape on it so all you do is pick it up and apply. i have bought rolls of 2"-4" for some jobs i have had like boats. for what it will cost to get a GOOD slitter, unless your doin a ton of small striping its not worth it.

I just had someone ask for striping to match what's on his boat - 3" overall width made up of 6 white stripes varying in width from 3/4" to 1/8". Odered from Gregory - 150' length $265 plus ship.

try canadian signcrafters ,bayfeild ontario canada ask for marg or jennifer I bought one roughly 300.00 I think. and buy the 2,3,4," rolls from them then slit to size Ive done a number of semi trailers and boats it's paid foritsefl over and over again. beats cutting out of 15" and 24" stock they are fantastic to deal with. If you cant find them on the web I can get you the ph. # nice little slitter clamp to desk and pull 50' plus and will also slit two stripes at the same time.

Hey Felix, you may want to take a look at this one. I bought one like this many years ago and it is still working great. I bought it from Gregory but they no longer carry it. If 2 inch capacity will work for you, this is the answer. It adjusts to any size striping up to 2 inches wide. Mine actually has 4 blades on it so you can cut more than one size or multiples of the same size in one pull. If I need only one cut, the extra blades swing up out of the way.
Thanks Dave. I was wondering if there was something that I could put a 15" or a 24" roll on.

Once you go beyond a 6 inch slitter, you're talking the very expensive automated slitters that apply the clear or paper transfer tape, then slit and re-roll 48 inch or 60 inch logs.
