Firefox started out being such a nice simple secure browser. They're turning it into a nightmare. I hate the new PC versions. They made it just like IE with all the menus hidden. Why can't they leave well enough alone! At least the Mac version is still fairly decent.

I switched to Chrome because every time I cranked up Firefox, I had to do a new download and answer lots of pop-up dialog questions - b'bye FF......

I upgraded to windows 7 and yep I got the same hidden junk on FF!. I hated it, just show me all the stuff don't go hiding it
I got it back like it used to look and for the life of me i cant remember how, I did google it though. I do not care for changes and I think they should ask if we wanted

Just used to FireFox. I should give Safari another look. Never really gave it a chance.

with the odd few exception(less than 3 that I MUST use) websites that will not allow me to use chrome, I use chrome. I have both nightly(firefox beta) and firefox on three machines here, and chrome is a much smoother and flowing browser. once it is setup properly with all the needed plugins(which have to be setup in all the other browsers also)
edited to add "nightly" by it's nature does a daily update before it will run and firefox does one every other day,...if the browser is so good why are they continually tinkering with it???????

I switch to Chrome for most of my web browsing quite a while ago. It is faster and more intuitive most of the time.
At work I use a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard. Firefox is my favorite tool for web development because Firebug is such an amazing tool. However, I have to restart Firefox at least once a day because it starts getting sluggish. Also, there are a couple of web applications at work that require me to use Firefox. For everything else I use Chrome.
The one thing I dislike about Chrome is when it freaks out and gives me the unhappy face. In cases like that I would rather have slow than a crash.
At home I have a couple of middle-aged PCs. Firefox and Chrome perform about the same. I still tend to use Chrome more often because the user experience is just a bit better, but for web development I still prefer Firefox. Firebug rocks.

I'm quite impressed with Opera - you may want to give it a try.

I gave up on FF a long time ago- every time I opened it, it wanted to install updates- by the time that finished, I had forgotten why i was trying to get on the internet in the first place... grrrr
I use Safari on my Macs- and Chrome on PCs don't have any issues with either...
