getting ready to upgrade to the newest version of CorelDRAW (or creative suite, or whatever it is called) I have been using X3 since it came out, so it should be a big upgrade.
Does anybody know the best place to purchase from (upgrade) I get some emails from Graphics Unleashed from time to time, just not sure who has the best deal (for instance, when I bought X3, I got a free Wacom tablet with the deal...)
Can anybody steer me in a good direction... thanks

just my luck- I really want to upgrade, but I'm broke right now, and I'll bet anything that I get a paycheck big enough to buy the upgrade at 12:01 June 19th- then my wife will want to use that paycheck to buy something frivolous like food and clothes for the kids...

I would probably still continue to use X3 even on my newest Dell, but I had an unfortunate incident several months ago-- I knocked a spool of CDs off the side of my desk, when it hit the floor, it broke the plastic spindle off of the base and the top 5 or 6 CDs cracked right down the middle-- the top 2 CDs were Corel X3 program disc and the clipart disc-- I always make backup discs for things like that, but I can't seem to locate them- figured it was a good time to go ahead and upgrade...

I don't know what you're talking about Joe, but you can upgrade your X3 until 6/18.
yep, I qualify- I teach a few classes here and there and my wife is a teacher, so we have actually bought some software from them before. I didn't think to look there, but I was able to order from Amazon and save some $$$- so I got in just under the wire...

maybe you will get to go with X6, but I've located some glitches in it that will hopefully be corrected with online updates very soon.
The most frustrating glitch is the ALIGN NODES, horizontal, vertical, etc, in toolbar menu--it seems to have lost track of all rhyme or reason as to which node aligns to which node. At least that's the case with my install. Told them about it and they're looking into it. Otherwise, I love the program. The B-Spline drawing tool that I'd not yet seen (I think started in X5?) is the ultimate, truly freehand curve-drawing tool. You can master it in seconds. No more dot-to-dot node placements, convert to curves, bend the curves, delete xtra nodes, etc. ... yukkk!!!

Mine came in today, so I can't wait to install and see how it is...

Ive been using Corel since version 3, but I missed the so called deadline from x3, spending 499 for a full version just doesnt sit right with me. oh well. I just dont use it enough anymore to justify that.
