A BIG THANK YOU to Si Allen, who back in January gave me the prize-winning answer to my dilemma!

My 1-shot paint refused to dry on my vinyl banner. Here is what I do now, and it works great:

1. Wipe with lacquer thinner to remove the surface shine. Otherwise the paint just runs off.

2. Then, as Si suggested, apply a coat of vinyl floor wax!!! Yes. Dry a few hours, paint as desired, dry overnight.

3. Finished! Roll up but not too tight. Out the door it goes under the arm of the admiring customer. Cha-ching! [Smile]

the best answers to thorny problems are usually something simple and rather fantastic sounding from a guy who has been on the planet for a while. [Smile]

What kind of paint sticks to floor wax?

Apparently, the paint soaks into it.

I would post a pic or 2 but... how?

Sen the pics to me ... I will post them.

that "floor wax" is not a wax ... it is a clear water soluble acrylic.
