I saw some awesome looking seminars from Ray Chapman and Joe Diaz that have me really close to becoming a member of USSC to learn from 2 awesome designers.
Anyone know how the panel jam works? Just show up with your sign box?

I wish I could go. I've been to one of Ray's seminars and it was fantastic.
I didn't know Joe was having one. I'm envious of his talent.

Thanks for the nice words. I'm looking forward to hearing both Dan and Joe. I've sat at the feet of Mr. Sawatzky, so I know what a tremendous job he does and I expect to receive the same from Mr. Diaz.
You're right about the Bull Pen - just show up with your kit and jump in. Paints and such are provided. Since I can't take my kit on an airplane, I just put some brushes in my luggage and go from there. Most are willing to share what they have with them.
The Pinstriping guys do panels and they are auctioned off for charity. There are always projects for various organizations that are done and donated. Lots of fun. And you will probably get to meet Bill Riedel - that's worth the trip.

One other thing - mostly I just want to walk around with Dan and soak up whatever he has inside him.
My battery is running low, so I'm looking forward to getting "juiced up" (not what you are thinking).
The seminars are outstanding and I enjoy any that I attend (and I learn tons from each), but it's being one-on-one with my heroes that gets my heart pumping.

I am looking at going as well.

Hiya Dan, The last time I was there, the panel jam was open to pretty much anyone who could or wanted to learn how to "swing a brush". But, it's been quite a few years and, these days, who knows what they will allow into the building without some sort of special permit or security check. It's up to you if you want to join USSC. However, membership is not a requirement to attend the seminars from the great hosts mentioned above.
Havin' fun,
Checkers

I told my wife about it last night. I used you guy's as an excuse. A lot of talent to be shared. Of course she thinks you all want to pick my brain, not the other way around. lol

I've never got to go to anything quite like this before, but I get to go this year (tagging along with Joe). I'm really looking forward to it. I'm a little nervous about the trip & fitting in with all the talented people that will be there, but more than anything I'm just excited.
