I thought maybe this was foing to be another lok at ones we've seen before, Pat, but I really like those!

It makes me wonder if they do exist as brands & logos, or is it was just a part of a fun academic exercise given to some design students somewhere.

Great work & inspirations there-thanks!

Clever and creative, even if a bit heavily weighted with humor. Several plays on negative space, here. Some better than others (I did not quickly see the S in Stairs).

These are student exercises, I presume.
Class exercises are fun, because you don't have those pesky clients standing in the way of your creativity.

Designs without lots of embellishment can be very effective. Sometimes less is so much more.

Thanks, Pat.

maybe student exercises- about half of real "clients" would have scraped the good ones in favor of some ugly nephew art and then griped about having to pay the $20 to their nephew...

Love them, reminds me of the stuff Shane Durnford used to come up with...

Well, I've been saying that for years, that Logos should be simple, no clutter, and not many colors... There was a topic on here over a year ago or more, and although there are people who develop logos that are just Fantastic, as far as using all kinds of bells and whistles, simple is far more effective, now if only I could pound that onto my own brain.... Thanks for that!

Great stuff. As soon as I saw the filing cabinet in the folder logo, I had to strain to make it look like an F with 2 dots again. Sorta like making the arrow go away in the FedEx logo. when you know it's there, it's all you see.
