did someone say Flea Market at a Walldog meet?
Posted by Jane Diaz (Member # 595) on :
They have ACRES of an all summer long flea market with a great indoor market in front of that with all types of Amish cheeses & sausages & meats. It's a great spot! We were only there for about 4 or 5 hours but I have wanted to go back ever since. I'm not sure what the Amish will think of all of us crazy artists though. hehehehe

Sounded like a great idea until I realised..It is now August 2001... So August 2014 is 3 years down the road...Crap, I'll be 70 years old!!!...Si will be 200....
God willing we'll be there too, just for the fun.

Man... Now I have to change my lifelong goal. Appy made me realise that I will be 60 by that time. My goal has always been to sell everything by the time I'm 60 and open a hot dog stand on the beach in Aruba. Guess I'll have to shoot for 61, cuase it looks like I'll be in Indiana when I'm 60.

That's great!
This should be the best attended one so far, because we are thankful for all you've done for us dogs, David and Susie.
I first heard of the name, Shipshewana, years ago. It must be some sort of flea market/shopping mecca according to Jane. That's probably why I haven't been there and Jane has.

Geez 60 Don! Me 2, and if I'm not mistaken Dan Sawatzky and Mr. Butler too. We had better study up...

2014 Wow. First thing I have on my calendar for that year. Wonder if my computer (calendar) will last that long. Let's see, how old will I be by then? Yes. Old enough. Older enough. Oh my. Ouch.

Should we thinking about a Bluz Boyz (Tom, Brent, Sonny & Bill) mural for this one?
Posted by Jane Diaz (Member # 595) on :
The only problem with that Brent is we would be laughing too hard to get any work done! hehehehe

Good grief, I'll be 70. Wonder if I can keep from drooling all over myself. That was the age I had set to retire. Maybe this could be my celebration.
Pencil me in and I'll check with my boss.

2014, let's see by that time I'll be,,,yikes!,,,Fifty Six. I'm gonna bring a lots of duck tape. "Gotta hold stuff up"

I'm in.
Ray, I'm right behind ya. They might have to prop me up against a wall.
Posted by Jane Diaz (Member # 595) on :
Hey, all this talk about being old...I'm getting depressed! We need to get some young blood involved so we can teach them and they can prop us all up! I know it is fun for Bill & I to see the boys do their thing. I think we all need to make an effort to bring some young newbies along so we can keep this movement going. Look around you and try to encourage some new people to get involved! It's hard to describe to someone how much fun this is...but try.

woohoo sounds like a winner...the Amish always built things so beautifully and took pride and dedication in every walk of life.
I remember my dad's motor home that they built and it was gorgeous inside and out. I have been to PA to Downing and the Lancaster County to stay with my friend an equine nutritionist and we mingled with the Amish there. When I lived in central Ohio a man in his buggy with lanterns and horse used to go past our 100 year old house and it was so dark and enchanting as my son and I would listen to the klippity klap of the horse on our brick street..so silent and a part of the past.
I would love to attend, maybe finally do a project mural myself for a change.

I'm with Alicia at turning 56 in 2014. I'll be there too and I'll still be able to climb a scaffold because I saw how Bill Riedel does it... Pixie dust!
Sign-cerely, Steve

Wow...even without all the confirmed details I am excited to put my name on this list. Dave and Suzie....thanks for the heads up. I've never planned that far ahead in my life for anything...but there is a first time for everything...Right? I have my calendar marked.

What is everyone worrying about? I will only be 86, and plan to paint until I get old. It is so nice now to be able to plan each year for another great walldog meet to meet up with so many good friends and make new ones. Bill
