Ok VC owners. What do you use to get a really red, red.
I generally design using RGB in Corel because I get more vibrant colors then when I design in CMYK.
Is R:255, G:0, B:O the reddest red you can expect to get? I end up a little orangy when I do that...
I could go thru endless settings that i use but it would be a waste of my time and yours, suffice to say that I have X5 and I have set up color management as recommended by Corel.
My main question is what CMYK or RGB mix do use as a favorite for Red? Or do you have another method all together?

I use a bunch of different ones myself...from c100 y100...to adding some black...some are less yellow and then add 10 black. You really should just print out a few using a different formulas then you'll know what you like best.

I agree with Karen. While I don't have a printer, I created a red sample sheet and had my wholesaler to print it out for me.
The best red I've found that works for me is to select PMS 200 as my red of choice and let the wholesaler's RIP deal with it. I do the same thing when I have 4over.com print my cards for me.

I have done all that... I was hoping someone would have new idea. When I can print a Oracal 031 Red I will be happy! My next printer will have at least 6 colors.

I use the Roland pallette in flexi and have good luck with pr42K or pr43K. Its a really good red. I print out the chart in versaworks have it on my wall and use that to match colors to. I am happy with it.

If you have FlexiSign try using the Gerber Spot reds they seem to work the best for us.
