I remember with great delight the first time our work was published in SignCraft magazine. It was cool, and the realization of a long held dream. Later, we were honored with further articles in other sign magazines.

Lately it has gone truly international and it amazes me to say the least... last month a second spread in a German magazine... and next an eight page spread (with the cover as well I'm told) of a magazine in the Ukraine. I wrote the article(s) and then they were translated... although I will not ever know exactly what is said. [Smile]

Here's the picture of the first page of the article...

I ran into the house and showed Janis. She commented that 'famous' was cool and all, but she would rather have the 'rich' side of the equation. I have no doubt our banker feels the same way. [Smile]

Well, that is very cool. The closest I've gotten to that, is one of my clients did a photo shoot in my shop, and it was published in a magazine in Lebanon.

I think it's in Russian - I typed it into Google translate and this is what I got:

"Lives here
imagination
Stele near the road at once suggests that this is an unusual place. Whimsical sailboat sails through the blue crescent ... hilly landscape ... There are no straight lines. A winding road fascinates everyone who visits the most fantastic world of creativity. Creative fantasy lives here."

Ukrainian didn't translate so well.

That is cool Dan!
You may want to get an English to Ukraine translator book, just in case a Uke sign maker shows up at your workshop! [Big Grin]

And I knew him when he was just a sign guy. I'll bet that Janis still makes him take out the trash.

Years ago I showed the guy as the gas station one of my articles...but he still made me pay for the gas.

Is it time to get out the horn?

Nicely done Dan!

Once I finally landed a magazine with my last article in it, I flipped open every copy on the newstand to MY page, and walked out giggling. [Smile]
