What was the abbreviation for Kentucky years ago for addresses? Illinois' was ILL. and now it's IL

I'm doing an old fashioned sign that needs the Kentucky abbreviation for the 30-60's era.

I do think a lot of the older abbreviations were the same as the AP abbrev. They all ended in a period "." except Maine.
