I use a dow rod fashioned into a mahl stick to brace my hand when lettering a sign.Tell me God doesn't have a sense of humor. read Exodus 4:17. It says: Thou shalt take thy rod in thine hand wherewith thou shalt do Signs. I am a christian and I read my Bible. Probably not as much as I should. I was praying that if God wanted me to continue making signs he would give me a sign. I opened my Bible and this is what I read. Its the Truth!

Exodus 24:12...God gave Moses tables of stone which he had written. Must have been awesome lettering. Of course, a guy like me has to be careful that he doesn't get so enamored with the medium, that he forgets the message!

If we get to include funny signs we've seen; here's one I saw earlier today: In the December 2001 Communication Arts magazine, there was a picture of a sign on the inside wall of a spy store, just below a surveillance camera. It said: "Shoplifters will be congratulated".
