Sometimes you get bored and start thinking about STUPID STUFF and my latest stupid is...
I wonder if I could screen a T-shirt with latex paint from Walmart. What could be the problem if there really is one.It doesn't dry fast and once it gets on your clothes you can't get the stuff off.So my question is Has anyone ever tryed this, or is this another thought about STUPID STUFF!

Back in high school I brush painted a few of my t shirts with acrylic paints. It stuck great and laundered great. The only problem was it could be a bit lumpy and scratchy.

Back in the 70's I airbrushed 100% cotton clothing with Liquitex acrylics.I set the paint by ironing over a piece of tracing paper. A hot dryer would also set the paint. They lasted well.

Here's my stupid idea; probably a "guy thing"...I read that the laser in a CD burner is hot enough to burn paper. The other night I was testing my laser level to see if it still worked, after setting for a long time. I ended up beaming a few flies, just to see if the red light would 'bug' them, it did. Then the brilliant idea hit me!!! Why not get the laser from the CD burner, and singe their wings off?? Oh man, what awesome fun!!
Edit to say: I haven't taken the time to see if it works yet; and, I have latex paint spots on shirts that I think will outlast the rest of the shirt.

James hopefully you HAVE read the warning on the outside of the cdrom about eye damage from the lasers inside the unit,..they put them there for a reason,....

Bill, I guess you could a few prints through a screen, but it would be so easy to wreck the screen, as that stuff IS hard to remove when it's dry. As Frank says, it won't have the 'soft hand' of proper fabric inks...
I can just see James' walls with black spots, and singed smoke marks all over them from assorted hits & misses as he tries his air raids on the parked flies!
