NOT all Nephew art is nasty: my nephew, Alex, is a mechanic and just finished this 1966 Cobra for me- great learning project for him- GREAT car for me! And, since the car was nearby- I asked Bill Diaz to do the pinstriping- amazing work on all levels- this is gonna be FUN!!!!! (and, no- it won't be in Danville!) -

Is this for real???? Is the car real? What I mean is it actually a 66 or a replica? I just watched something on the tube last night where a real 427 sc Cobra sold for over a million bucks [Eek!] [Eek!] [Eek!]

It's gorgoeus! Some of you might remember the head of the dog house in Pontiac, Bob Sear. We called and asked him if he would drive it up from our shop up to the mural for a photo shoot. Bob was IN HIS GLORY, just getting to drive it. The Daily Leader even came across the street and took photos! Thanks for letting Bill stripe it, Cat. We don't often get to stripe a Cobra and then one from New York to boot!

This is a VERY cool car, "but" it is a kit(Think of it as fully custom!)- still needed an expert to assemble it, after all the various parts were amassed- like the 457, 8 cyl. engine, the wheels and tire etc...

Geez Cat, that would look good parked in front of our wall in Danville. I promise I would take care of it.

Heck, Dale would vouch for me...

That's an awesome car, Cat! I hope you will have a wonderful time with it, but pray that you will give it the respect that it deserves.

I drove a real 427 Cobra once, back in the '70's, and believe me, that thing could hurt you, if you're not ready for it.

Have a wonderful time with it. You deserve it!!

This is just off the truck (the car, not me). The Cobra has already been referred to as a "trooper magnet", my midlife crisis, and one of my EMT friends wanted a pic. of me with it for my obit...
Yeah- I'll be careful- but it IS fun!
So much for my image of being "quiet & conservative"...
ps- the box is spare parts, and the instruction manual...

Cat,

That is sure gonna make the Taconic look just a little bit nicer. Stop by sometime and I'll show ya a sweet little drive thru the country along RT57 that is made just for that car.

Have Fun! (I know you will [Smile] )

Joe,
