My grandfather, Al Zanetti, died this morning. Feels weird that there are no more Al Zanetti's left. There's been one for at least 4 generations that I know of, maybe more.

So sorry. Your dad was one of the great ones and I'm sure his father was also.
My prayers will go up for you and all the family.

...You dad was one of my best Letterhead friends. I met him in 1983 at the first meet I went to, and he was at every one that I went to after...

Kimberly,
I don't think I met your grandfather but I knew your Dad. His initials were AZ and what he could do with them and all the letters in between will never be equalled.
I've driven within view of Mount Zanetti in the Wrangel/St. Elias Range in Alaska many times. I always think of your Dad and the love you have for him when I'm there. I feel for your loss and wish you the best.

Kimberly,
The attached link gets you to a picture of Mount Zanetti at the bottom right of the Wiki article. The view from Willow Lake is quite dramatic.

Sorry for the loss. Who still holds the family name that might make another AZ? The names can endure, but the persons are missed. I miss the one that I knew.
