I received a call from Mike Chapman this morning regarding Raymond. Mike asked me to let all of Raymond's friends know what is happening... Raymond had a (small) heart attack yesterday. He is in the hospital awaiting some tests today or tomorrow. Apparently he is comfortable and in good spirits.

Raymond, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers here in Yarrow. I hope you are better soon.

Ray ... time to kick back and do as the Doctors tell you! And you will be fine!

Heart attacks are not as serious as back in the old days, because of the new medicines and techniques! I have had a couple, and am still around 10 years later!

Modify your diet, get some exercise ... and continue enjoying life!

Raymond,

Here's hoping you have a good and speedy recovery. Time to look out for yourself and this can be a wake up call for everyone. I'm glad you are in good hands, and like my Grandma used to say, It's God's way of slowing you down" just a tad bit, though, and she lived until she was 96.

I just got back in town from an extended camping trip with Chip Carter. We talked about you quite a few times on our journey, about what a lovable person and instructor you are--and, of course, about the hopelessness of you ever managing to teach me to hand letter.

Chip's here with me now. We both wish you well.

At least, you'll get your nap in... as long as they will quit waking you up to see if you're asleep.
