I've been away for a while and was not doing too many signs. Recently my Dell that I bought back but still had the extended warranty on it. Because Dell couldn't fix it, they gave me this new screaming machine. Unfortunately it has Windows 7. The problem is that I am still cutting vinyl with my PC600 and need drivers for it for Windows 7 so tha tI can get it to cut.
Someone here surely can help me get this fixed.

Laura, I was able to run an older Dell printer with Win7 even though there are no Win7 drivers for it. I downloaded Virtual XP. Then I loaded the XP driver for the printer while in XP mode. Now I can send jobs to the printer from 7. Maybe the same can be done with a vinyl cutter.

if you want help you need to tell us what kind of program you use to cut vinyl and what plotter brand and model number you intend to use.

Tim...It is a Roland colorCAMM PC600 printer/cutter.
I know there are Windows drivers for it for every Windows OS from 95-XP at
If she can use the XP driver by running Windows 7 in XP mode it might work.
BUT as you say, Laura may be using some other program to drive the unit.

The above machine had to be sent back and I had to install the pc 600 again. I hated Win 7 and went back to XP. Everything has been running great recently until the other morning when I signed on and the PC 600 XP drivers were totally gone (along with some other stuff).
Now I am back to square one and can't remember where I got the XP drivers so that I can cut out of Corel X3. The drivers on the Roland website have limitations to length.
Anyone got the disk with the drivers around for an old pc 600? I am still not totally unpacked from moving 2.5 years ago so can't find the disk.

Glenn, That is the instruction but there is no file there. Or else its not popping up for me. I don't know why Roland has the drivers online but the drivers have a length limitation to it. What I remember it that the right drivers were on the CD that came with the machine.

Laura, there is a download button below those instructions.

Yep. Just scoll down to the bottom of the instructions and there it is. Try this....
Thats the one I had been using but some reason it wasn't giving my the feature to change my length. I uninstalled the printer and used this file again and everything is ok. Thx.
This is what I mean, "LETTERVILLE IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT CAN HELP ME."
hehe
Good to see everyone again. Its been along time.

I have vista, summa wont take it, or rather corel x4 will not export files to plt or hpgl. An old XP with cor 8 is hooked to the cutter, files transfered by mem stick as cor 8 then exported to summa, primitive but funcontioning
