Thanks in advance..

Adjusting for the inflation rate, $1422.22.

5% inflation per year might be fair if you feel you got a fair price the first time. My wife thinks it would be worth the time to recalculate the price from scratch. How large is that? Is it mahogany?
Edited to add- LOOKS GREAT!

Thanks Guys!
It's about 22" in dia. and is made of mahogany. It's actually made in 2 parts...the soldier is carved seperatley from the circle. The only really tricky thing is the lettering goes slightly up on the curve....I can still "mask/carve/gild" tho. Again, as I recall, it took about a week to make the last 2.

Just to add....I still have the layouts and patterns from the first ones.....that took considerable time that won't be spent on these.

I figure 3% per year in my area. That comes out to $1452.

Consideing the present economy I would say about $750...just like houses.

Just a little perspective here....
This school has about doubled their tuition in the last 7 years.....nearly$50,000 for ONE year of HS.....messes with my head!!!! And, THEY TURN STUDENTS AWAY!!! This is the second most heavily endowed prep school in the nation. They have been throwing up new buildings here like they were FREE (actually, they are....Millions are donated for this purpose.....want your name on a building???? A few mil will do it! )
Anyway....I was told that they will need more of these panels for the new buildings. These go on lecturns and they hate to move them around from building to building....go figure.
If you are interested, they have a web site that is just a little fancier than Rays .
Thanks for the input and chuckles!

Yea Joe, but I bet it cost more than mine.
Don't those folks know that we have a recession going here?
Posted by Joe Cieslowski (Member # 2429) on :
Ya got that right Ray....that site is a full time job for somebody.
What recession???
To top it off, when folks come to visit their kids, they hate staying in our old country inns and B&B's so they BUY A HOUSE! The cash registers around here really sing on parents weekends.
I could go on and on.....honestly, this area isn't "Real"! But we love it here.....actually we moved here on purpose lol.
You are right about house prices tho. We moved here in the last BIG recession (early 80's). Houses were cheap and taxes low. One of the few times in my life when a lot of pieces fell together.
If you and your lady want to visit, you have a place to stay.
OK, I've got a quote to type up.

Decrease?!?, bullcorn. Last week at Discount Tire I paid 40% more for the same tires I purchased for my truck six years ago.
That's gorgeous work, Joe. Tell them "$1575.00 each for my hand crafted piece", stop, and let them say the next word.

Just an update..........
I went for.....$1,500 each.
No problem, they hand deliverd the 50% check today.
Here is the original artwork.....
Thanks again for the input.....working alone, it sure helps to air questions like this with others.
I appreciate it!!!

Joe, I know a good vinyl printer who says they can duplicate that design almost Exactly and can do the whole job for 50 bucks.
Here is the sample they can show you,...Looks 'almost exactly the same. On the wall know one will know the difference. .
