What can you say? It just does'nt get any better than That! Canada is Gold.... more gold medals for Canada than any other Country ever before in the winter Games... 14... I am so proud!
But my hat is off to the US for showing guts, and determination, to put on a show like no other.

I could hardly breathe anytime the Canadians weren't in possession of the puck!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching all the venues - can't believe 17 days went by that quickly. The comment about these games bringing Canadians even closer together is so true!

I was the traitor in my neighborhood because I was the only one rooting for Canada. Love.....Jill

If you were lucky enough to see the segment by Tom Brokaw all about Gander, New Foundland after 911, you would wish that Canada would win the gold. The Canadians are a special brand of people. Bill

Bill I'm so glad that you saw it, I have sisters who helped out that day, and the stories she could tell were heart wrenching and heart warming at the same time...I saw the news clip also.

I watched the whole game and don't have a clue about the rules, etc....but it was intense just the same. Those guys have to be in tremendous physical condition.
Even though I was pulling for our team, I couldn't help but feel a little pride for Canada since I know so many of you there. I could just picture Rene and others celebrating the overtime goal.
BC did a great marketing job. Tourists will surely be flocking in now. It's a beautiful country.
But you all still talk funny.

I guess if Canada wins I feel like USA wins too...like our little sister or something!

You weren't rooting for Canada Jill, you were rooting for Sid.

Canada not only had the most gold's! They also had the most 4th's and the most 5th's (not counting the ones that the country drank on Sunday!).
While the gold medal game was on one of our boys was out trying to take the 50km cross country ski medal away from the Norgwegians. He didn't quite make it but was only 1.5 seconds behind him. An awsome performance in a sport that Canada is not known for.
