I just upgraded to Omega 3.0 into a new Windows 7 computer. With the artwork selected to go to the plotter the "Output Selected" is grayed out. I have my HS-15 plotter installed but need a suggestion how to get my artwork to the plotter.

Thanks. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I wonder if they gave you a dongle for a design station rather than for a work station. I would call you're Gerber dealer's tech support so they can verify that you have the correct dongle. If you do, they should be able to walk through your system with you to make sure everything is set up correctly.

Ray, post if you get an answer. This is an interesting situation. Been running 3.0 for over 6 months.

I heard they hadn't got 3.0 to work on windows 7, but they were working on it. I want to use it on the work station. Let us know if they have figured it out.

Many thanks for your posts. Before I ordered the upgrade my sign supplier said they called Gerber and 3.0 works in Windows 7. If not, well.... maybe that's the problem.

Glenn, I think I'll first call supplier in the morning. Gerber wants $ before answering a question. So what if I purchased a Signmaker III in April '83.

Will keep you posted.

Is it recognizing your dongle? Is Omega in "Demo Mode" ?

Tom, I have both Omega 2.61 and 3.0 working in Windows 7.

The only issue I've found is in 2.61. I occasionally get get a pop-up message about not being able to copy something to the clipboard. It only happens when I'm using the text command and even then it doesn't happen every time.

Ok, problem was on my end. Got to give credit where due. My sign supplier contacted Gerber about my situation and Gerber contacted me. I had installed 3.0 and registered with the number to the design station dongle. I'm new with Omega. The move from Composer 6.2 to Omega 3.0 is quite a learning curve. Mucho new hot keys to learn.

Feel kinda dumb but you guys are great. Glenn, you da man. Thanks to all who helped.

Must be a Texas thing. I'm dumb, too.

I'm glad it worked out, Ray.

Guess how I thought that might be the problem. -

I blame it on age. And it's gettin' up there.
