I use SignLab 7 everyday on my desktop pc and do not have any problems with it. I have an identical program/version of SignLab loaded on a laptop that I use occasionally when I have to travel. I tried to use the laptop SignLab and when I clicked on the icon the logo came up like it normally does but then the laptop locks up. I have to reboot. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the program, but the same thing happens. My dongle is plugged in. Any idea what's going on?

Same thing happend to me. Never a problem again since I uninstalled and reinstalled it.

Have you tried running it while Windows is in safe-mode?

Glenn, I tried opening the program in safe mode and it WILL open. Tried to open again in regular mode and will NOT open. Do you know what's going on with it?

When you run Windows in safe-mode, only essential processes to Windows are running.
I suspect that you've got something running in the background that is conflicting with SignLab.
When you installed it on your laptop, did SignLab ever run correctly or did it lock-up from the getgo?
You may need to go into your MSCONFIG and try turning off all but necessary services and startups. Then turn one on and reboot. The idea is to find out what is running in the background that is conflicting with SignLab. Its time consuming and a royal pain in the backside, but sometimes that what it takes to track down the culprit.
But what I would do first is contact Cadlink tech support. Its been a long time since I've needed to contact them so I don't know if this is possible, but with other tech support I've dealt with they were able to access my computer directly and diagnose the problem for me in real time. By watching what they did, I was able to learn new things about my computer and learn how to resolve other issues later on my own. Each time was a great learning experience for me.

I once had Dongle installed backwards,... just a thought.
