We're in a cabin on Lake Malone. It's near Lewisville, KY; about 60 miles north of Nashville. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL here...even in winter.

We have seen some nice signs along the trip but don't know if we'll get to drop by and visit any Letterheads or not. We loaded up our instruments last night, found some Kentucky hillbillys and we all picked and howled in the new year with our new-found friends. They invited us back tonight!

We are actually about 40 minutes North of Nashville ......located at point A

We jammed with the mountain men again last night. It snowed a little too and is supposed to get down to 6F tonight. The folks here, evidently, are BIG eaters....My sister inlaw ordered me a "slammer" for lunch today....
It was large enough for a family of four. I couldn't even eat a fourth of it.

Well, Mike, I did consider the wording, but didn't want to be presumptuous. I mean, what if I was wrong, had to backtrack...it'd be time for a re-enactment of the boxer shorts and wooden chair scene from THE JERK..."(sniff) I'm leaving now..."

Well, since Jim has acknowledged that he's near Jake and Mike, I guess it's okay for me to 'fess up, too. (Although no one will claim to be anywhere near Jake in normal circumstances....)

I hate that we didn't get around to visiting with any Letterheads. Maybe next time we will. I can honestly say it's some of the most beautiful country I've ever seen. I would like to go back in either spring or fall.

That's all I need.
