Not to rain on the parade, Michael, but why are you giving these away? Would it not make more sense to offer them at a discount or incentive with the purchase of another font? Just wondering...

Cam,
Actually, this is just my way of giving back to this site. Plus it has never been a concern of mine to get rich off the Becker fonts. I kinda like the promo aspect of them. Still, commercial versions of ARB fonts are and will be available at www.myfonts.com. You'll also notice this is a limited version of ARB 08. You can do almost anything with it that you can do with a fully-optioned font, but when the "for sale" version comes out, users can decide for themselves if they truly need it in their arsenal.
also: people have asked me to keep in contact with them about my font releases, but since email addresses change faster than my ability to track them, all of my font updates are announced @ www.twitter.com/the_fontry
you don't have to sign up for tweets, just visit the page every now and then to see if anything is new.

Thanks Michael, what a treat. This is the firat one I've noticed from you. What font program do you use?? I've been playing with Phontographer, and it has me buggard for spacing. Cheers, Bill

WOW, Thanks

Bill,
was using fontographer, finally had to retire from it (sigh...) ... now using fontlab ... not quite as friendly, but its ability to set up your spacing is one feature that is vastly superior to fontographer.
we also have freeware fonts at www.dafont.com Posted by Dennis Raap (Member # 3632) on :
Thanks again Michael.......two in such a short time

Sweet . . . just perfect, Michael. All the ARB's have been . . .
Thank you from me as well . . .

Wow ... judging by the numbers on my site counter, this font has been extremely popular, numbering somewhere around the 600+ mark on downloads-!!! That's pretty high for a letterville bullboard posting. Thanks, all-!!! Be sure to tell yer friends and neighbors.
The next Becker font is an athletic block and should be finished in a couple of weeks.
also: you've probably forgotten, but that big becker discovery I mentioned awhile back is still looming on the horizon!!! I'll be spilling the beans on that one very soon.
