Hi folks...I know,I know...I need to check in more often. In my defense, I'm getting old and working too much to have any extra time for much other than sleeping. But I digress...
Here's my problem...Doing a digital print and setting it up in the plotter to contour cut, the cut winds up being .060 - .120 off to the right side. Lets say it's a 6"w x 3"h oval and as I contour cut the oval starts out at 1/8" on the left but winds up 1/4" on the right side. Same problem if it's a rectangle shape and the area gets larger as the contour cut increases, but rectangle shapes aren't a problem. I was trained in the old art of Exacto at a young age.
Same problem with lettering and contour cutting around it...I gave up with that. I have the Grimco / Mimaki "user manual" and the OEM Mimaki manual, but I've not spotted an area that covers adjustments or if they can be made.
Any ideas?

Dunno anything about mimaki cutters but it soumds like it may just be a loose belt for the cutting head and or a loose cutting head,....

This happened to me a couple of times and I think I went to the plotter settings and reset them. Is there two slots on the knife holder, one for the knife and one for pen? If the knife is in the wrong slot that'll cause it.

I don't have a printer, but anytime my Mimaki starts running off it's cause somebody ran the rollers a little too close to the edge. Little bits of glue get squeezed out onto the pinch rollers. You usually can't see it, but a good cleaning of the rollers gets it back to tracking just fine.
No guarantees, but dampen a cloth with Rapid Remover, give them a good cleaning, and see what happens.

Tom / Kathy, I gave that a try as well, bit it is almost as though the OPOS is a hair off, maybe....
OP, I know...I know... Little Anthony isn't little anymore and you are correct, he soon will be able to attempt to.... He turned 20 this past June 2nd, and came home informed me and mom he joined the Marines, and was sworn in the next day in Montgomery... Bittersweet, I tell ya...

I asked a tech and they said to make sure the offset on the machine is set to the same degree as the blade.
