Does anyone know what period of training time goes with buying a sign franchise like fast signs or any others? Also, has anyone ever gone or know the cost of any sign schools like Vatterot, and length of training...I know someone out there has to know this...would appreciate quick reply, thanks

I believe one time that Fast Signs training was about 2-4 weeks in Texas before you opened, but they came to your location as well to help with the start up...actually very good support from them.

Before Ricky chimes in I just wanna say that he had been a bonafied signman like I believe you are Tom and his franchise made big bucks in the past because of his knowledge in regards to paint etc. I won't go into it any further as maybe he will tell you the whole story.

Once upon a time....

Rich Stebbing also has experience with this.

I spent 4 years with Fast Signs as a Junior Shareholder/partner.... I went to 3 seminars in Texas during that time... In Burlington Ontario, there's a Fast Signs owned by Frank Kent who is 3rd in the world in sales, so he must be doing about a Million a year, that was 7 years after he opened... his back ground is not signs, but management....

But I bet it would help a lot with a sign Background, same as it would help a lot if you had a Business degree and experience in business in general.

I guess they are all different. Signs Now starts with 2 weeks initial training; that covers making the signs, business setup, accounting and POS software. Their International Training Center in Bradenton, FL has about every LF printer and router in existence for hands on training. Any of their franchisees can go down for free training for anything for as long as they like; they just have to pay their own expenses.
