Hi Everyone, I have been selected as one of ten Canadian Regional Finalists in the prestigious Mountain Stage New Song Contest!!
Mountain Stage is an internationally broadcast NPR (National Public Radio) radio show that broadcasts a live music concert from its theatre in West Virginia. (Check their past shows for incredible artists like Indigo Girls, Ryan Adams, Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, Allison Krauss and others)
The winner of the Canadian regional finals will be chosen by a panel of Mountain Stage judges and will perform in West Virginia in October!!
In the meantime, I could use your help in gaining a little notoriety. There is a "People's Choice Award" in which friends and fans can VOTE FOR THEIR FAVORITE ARTIST. If you have a minute or two, please go to the New Song website, watch the YouTube Video, and cast a vote for Nancy's "Something Beautiful" - but only if you like the song:)
Simply follow the link below, and click where it says, "The People's Choice Award" to cast your vote. (It appears that you can vote more than once!)

You got my vote Nancy. Very nice, and it was easy because some of the others were almost irritating. The only other one I liked at all was Alana and her guitar was just too loud compared to her vocals.

Thanks Dave. Once the ten finalists were chosen, we had four days to come up with a video performance for the People's Choice award. My attempt at lip-syncing isn't perfect, but it was really fun trying to create a music video. Glad you like it.

Just to make it fair I took the time to listen (at least a little bit) to all the finalists on the web page. Nancy of course got a listen all the way trhough as I've long enjoyed her music and have a couple of her CD's too which happily get played in my studio.

Like my grandpappy used to say when it came time to vote, "vote early and vote often".
I like your song alot Nancy. I watched all of them and you and Jeffery Starker have what it takes to write music. The rest of them come across as being the first song they have ever written.

Thanks! I think the voting either end at Aug 31st or Sept 30th. I'm trying to get clarification on that and I'll let you all know.
