If you guys wanna go red, white & blue with your layouts, this is a fun way to do it. I appreciate all the input I got from the first posting of this font that I put up.

The link for the freebie American Patriot font is at: www.thefontry.com/cfb1americanpatriot

But remember this: Just because you can do a star-spangled filled font doesn't always mean you should. This face can turn into a red, white and blue mess in a hurry!!!

have fun!!!

Mike,

I messed around with the font last night for a bit i Corel and I have to compliment you. I've never had a font installed that didn't require me to use the text flyouts for the different variations when layering multiple copies. The ease of using the Bold and Italic buttons was a pleasant surprise.

Outstanding.

THANX RAY -- I really poured heart and soul into making those layers line up properly from the styles menu! Words work fine -- multiple lines, however, don't tend to work quite as well and have to be broken apart to stack up right!

Thanks Mike,
We do enough political signs that it will be put to good, judicious
use.

Windows want open those files, one is called invalid, the other corrupt.

try saving it to your computer (DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF THE FOLDER!!! THIS WILL MAKE IT CORRUPT.) and when it says it is saved you will see a dialogue box with OPEN option. Hit open and it should work!

If it remains corrupt, I will cry and scream and blame it on Yahoo!, since my diagnosing skills go only as far as the options available to me in a dialogue box!!!!

nope not working but thanks for a swift answer and also many thanks for the intention of giving a free font.

Stein..I just went to the website and clicked on the download link...then chose "save". It is a zipped file so you have to unzip it and then you can install whichever versions you wish.

How are you doing Stein? Long time since we talked.

Maybe we can get together on Skype?

edited to add..Thanks Michael..I might swap out some stars with Maple Leaves though (NOT blue ones Neil!!! LOL)

Thank Y ou for generous offer .

now to find use for it ... lol since no plotter yet but hope with in a month

Posted by Michael Gene Adkins (Member # 882) on :

Better get yerself a printer/plotter for this font! I won't be cutting it in layers any time soon!

A friend emailed me this weekend and says this font is pretty nice without the patriotic effect.

I personally haven't found a sign layout it works on ... not yet anyway!!!
