This is what I do. Not extreme -for splash work.
http://readmoreontheweb.net/default.htm
(above is web experiment -working on the new actual site)

Car dealers who say we don't do that type of thing here -Still use mine.
District managers for national chains have tracked me down -a couple times.

Use a lot of neon color, some illustration but I’m not a cartoonist.
The van I drive WILL use some Ronan sun yellow-and be hand painted- whatever the design. and oneshot I mix with something else so that neon red will look red not pink or orange http://www.twitpic.com/cr6q5

I'm not exactly the hot rod bad-ass type -but?

http://www.twitpic.com/e91w9
I Love Tardiffs stuff. I've followed the signscientist website too- man has that guy grown -as an artist

So Just as a logo- is this just lame?
http://www.twitpic.com/co5it
working on a concept- splashes plus on- line linking and promo stuff
I can almost see this logo on a black tee-shirt but …?
Thinking too about arrangement with another artist, look for someone who works more loosely than me?
need input asap amap
At this point - now or never

Dawn, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

BTW, I got to meet Dawud in person today when he stopped by the shop on his way to a client. He was showing me some stuff on his website. His abilities and talent have really grown!

Customers box truck is now on the road painted like a window splash with neon color.
My logo will have to sometimes be a text line something like this http://www.twitpic.com/cr5qf
But I need all the pieces working together -to launch a campaign.

Van too plain? Scrap logo and start over?
do graphic striping for the van and leave logo as is? I think I like what the biz card would be like.

I'ts just not quite there, I'm stuck,
and maybe don't know what I'm looking at anymore right now.
would like to hear thoughts about logo and van

Dawn,My 1st thought would be 2 change the 'S' in Street,It makes the word much 2 hard 2 read at a glance,looks 2 much like a 'G'.

I would change the word Smart 2 white or add a heavy white outline 2 the red letters,Remember real Signpainters always do that predjueice rule of never letting red touch black or black touch red.

I think of a bus stop-park bench advertising sales person's business when I first view the card.

The word Window is very important, U have it in the middle of the card but very small, I would incorporate it [Window Advertising] as part of the the logo & put your web site down much lower on the card.

The yellow .net is much 2 overpowering & means nothing special.

All n All design your card like what U do Best...Window Splash Lettering.

Wish I new how 2 put my card in this post, maybe it would help.

Paint On...Kent Moss

I like the "pop" of the logo and the colors. I just wish the "street" had more flow and felt less clunky. Also, I might put the smart in some type of a graphic, like maybe if it was written on a notebook or even on a yellow sticky note (maybe too overdone)
Thanks for the compliments guys. It was great hanging out with you today Glenn and hearing about your billboard adventures!

I hope you have no intention of using 1-Shot neon or florescent colors on your van as it won't last and if you are going to paint the glass, you may be better off using vinyl.

Why do I have to "put my two cents in... but it's only a penny for your thoughts? Where's that extra penny going to?

Dayglo lasts longer and I have splashes around town that I cleared in the Dayglo filter Ray at least a year old that looks good as new.

Dawud, you are right about the flow problem with street, worked on it today. minor tweaks but bad readability would make me look like a fool.
My thought is to keep the logo basic but it does need more pizazz -for the van at least

So i'm thinking let the logo be the logo
but different pieces or uses will have similar but individually unique yellow blobs or sqiggles
like I've seen Nick Barber do.

Is Dayglo a Brand Name?
I like Ronan for the sun yellow but didn't know there was any other alternatives besides One-shot
