Today Bill started the back of Cisco sign by the river. It is a beautiful day here, 75 maybe, kinda cloudy so the sun isn't brutal, and he is by the river listening to the wind chime and the water over the dam. I went up this morning and handed tools up to him so hw could pounce it...
 -

And then about 3:30 I went by to take him some water and found this...

I'll keep you posted!

Alright Bill, looks like you have the best spot in Pontiac!! Glad it's only 75, 20 more degrees and you would have wanted an umbrella, I know I did. I remember the drawing so I know it's going to look great. Must have been a bear setting up the scaffolding, but I can see you are getting her done. Looking fabulous!!

That does look like fun. I admire your drive Bill. I would have thought you'd collapse after hosting all those doggies that came to town. Don't over do it, and make sure you listen to Jane!

Last night after cleaning the brushes and having a quick bite we just HAD to go up and peal the tape and check out the day's progress....it's coming along. Today they call for rain so he will have to take a break and wrap a trailer!

Man with the hat reminds me of an old radio advertising jingle from the 40's/ 50's...
"I go for a man who wears an Adam's hat."...
This site and the people who inhabit it just continue to amaze me.

Bill,
Nice Billboard makes me wish for my billboard painting days, nothing like painting on swing stage on a country road just having fun.

You know Jane - you really do have a swell family... talent, ingenuity, motivation, and a desire to do your best.

Very impressive sign.... I love the "leave it to Beaver" era of artwork - hearkens back to simpler times.

Totally fun Bill! I checked it out on Jim Dunning's photos too. He took some beautifulshots of it. What a perfect cap to a wonderful bunch of new artistic additions to your wonderful town! I miss every HOT minute of being there! Like Sonny said...the alliteration at the bottom is great. Was that your inspiration? Super.

Joe designed this as a response to a request for a 40's - 50's style bulletin board ... similar as to what you would have found along RT 66 back in the day.

This was very easy to execute painting wise, but the staging was brutal, because the city jumped the gun on the landscaping and there was absolutely no level ground to do scaffolding. But where there's a will there's a way. And thanks to Nova Paint.
