Took the plunge and went to my first meet. Man you people are fantastic!
It has been a real honor to meet all that I came in contact with and looking forward to meeting more.
I cannot express the High that I am still on.
I would say I am on 'cloud 9' but with my luck I would probably fall off.
Thank you for such a wonderful time.
And for all who were there and missed the beer tent party, sorry your loss, because you could have had your picture taken with Kenny Rogers. That's what they tell me anyway!

I knew you'd love it Sam. I've been hooked since about 1994 but I don't get out much these days. Be careful, these things can be addictive. Love....Jill

Sam, glad to have met you....from what I saw most of the week your feet seldom hit the ground. I remember my first in '83, better than Christmas. See ya the next one.

Sam, Glad you made it and I'm sure we will see each other again. It's funny when you meet someone you feel you've known for a long time and get to know each other a little and find out that you were totally wrong! Ha! Seriously, it was great to meet you and I too am still floating today. I even wore my Pontiac walldog t-shirt to the shop today!
Sign-cerely, Steve

Hey Sam,
I am still in Pontiac waiting for you to come finish my leaves! I'll just get myself a part-time job to cover costs until you return!
Seriously, It was a blast to have you come work on my wall. I'm glad you made it over for your first meet and I'll be waiting in Pontiac for your return...take care until then, my paint slingin' partner!

Sam, it was such a pleasure meeting you. I was afraid the last night we were going to sit in the parking lot and talk 'til dawn - you're an interesting guy and I wish I had at least another week to pick your brain. See ya at the next one bro.......

Hey Dale, I can turn back around and give you a hand. I can probably pull a few more straight lines and use up a few of the crappy brushes I have left, now that it's cooled down!

Hey to all on this post who I got to meet in person.
Sonny, please tell Peggy to forgive me for hitting her in the head with a drumstick. You should teach her to catch, though.
There is a crime scene chalk outline of Steve Luck on the street next to the courthouse. I wonder if they will wash it off or clear coat it.
Sam, you were wound up tighter than an eight day clock.

Sam it was great to meet you! It's a darn shame your injuries held you back so much...LOL

Sam, when you hang out with the rhythm section, it's all good. And Mark, at least we got to keep the sticks!

Dale, I gotta concede once again - you kicked my butt in the "Battle of the Bands" and now your Photoshop skills are also overwhelming - those girls almost look real........
Posted by Dale Manor (Member # 4858) on :
They are real Sonny, you just have to work past 9pm to meet them!
Now, have you seen Sam? If so tell him I need help on my leaves!

Dennis, She knows I am still flying high, but also looking forward to someday making the eastern Lake Huron route, 'Toronto to Tobermory', hitting Canada's Wonderland, and a chance to meet Steve and Barb and two of the Greatest "Canooks" I have had the chance to meet.
Still looking forward to meeting Kelly Thorson, we have Cigar Art to discuss.

Sam, I'm glad your first experience was as incredible as it was. I can tell you're hooked!
Glenn, go to a meet!
Posted by Chuck Churchill (Member # 68) on :
Sam...Dale sure wanted you to paint the leaves. I offered several times to jump in and do them. I keep telling Dale that "even if I am a walldog newbie we have a hockey team in Toronto called the Leafs. I know what a leaf looks like!" But Dale would say 'Oh no, he only wanted the best leaf painter in town to do the leaves...Sam Steffan.
Dale it was a great pleasure to have you as a mentor for a couple of days. I learned lots by watching you and was pleased to be a small part of your mural. You are a gentleman and your tunes are much better than Sonnys.

Many thanks to you and your wife Chuck....I believe you are the most patient man I have ever met....you really helped me to relax after Sam ran off and left my leaves hanging!

Dale, Before I do anymore work with you,...I am coming over to your place to get some lessons on how to do things right.
You knew things were not right on that wall and you just bit your tongue holding it back. Studying from you would be an honor...But then again, hell you would probably make me practice leaves for a week.
