Glad to see you back on here Tony..
Ahem!.....

Now for that Problem I have, I unplugged the cable from the base of the FX, I tried to get at the cable that goes into the head but Could'nt, I had Charles phone me on Friday and he did'nt have an FX in front of him as he was onthe road... is there an Easy way to get at the cable? is there a special tool that i mist have?

I did have tech suport call and suggest that I unplug the cable and re-seat it... I also adjusted the head to go all the way down, but that did not help in getting at the cable at the head...Any other Suggestions?

Since you're back, I might as well put you to work. lol

Thanks

Neil, I’m a software guy but here it goes.

1) Pull out any loaded foil cartridge

2) Open up the cover

3) Looking at the bottom of the print head you should see a connector with red and black wires – this is the power connector

4) Looking at the top of the print head you should see a connector with gray (grey) wires – this is the data connector

5) These are the connectors you need to disconnect and reconnect. I would do one at a time and make sure they are on straight when reconnected.

6) The bottom connector has a “tab” connection on the top side of the cover frame which is not easy to get at, if you can disconnect it this makes it a little easier to move the cabling around.

7) BE VERY CAREFUL
