This project is a definite collaborative effort- so t I thought you might be interested in how we are coming- 2 horses are in primer, and 5 more are in various stages... fun stuff for sure! http://gs97.photobucket.com/groups/l213/CNU7ZYD3XW/?albumview=slideshow Posted by Kimberly Zanetti (Member # 2546) on :

This link shoud get you to the site... then click on workshop photos.......and see "Cloudy" makin chips.
That's some beautiful work, Catherine. I never realized exactly how those horses were made. I also noticed a band-aid on a finger....just wondering how many more of those are around, and how many blood stains are on various parts of those animals?LOL
I've seen some horses made of fiberglass, but these are truly magnificent. Is there a lot of follow-up maintenance required on them....cracks, weather-related repairs, etc.? What a job!

Cat, what a delightful collective. Looks like a delightful team project that will carry rewards that will outlive us.

Beautiful work Cat, and must be fun!
Many years ago I was fortunate enough to help repaint some of those horses for a guy restoring a very old carousel! Workmanship in those things blew me away too!
Glad to see people "keeping the craft alive"

Oh Cat, those are so beautiful!!!! I am just amazed! I kept thinking of how tired your hands must be after working them out like that!
You are so very talented, as the others in your group, too. I can't imagine how it feels to be a part of them.
How much is each horse worth, when completed?
