Well, all hell broke loose, and I ate every sweet that was set in front of me. haha Still fitting in my jeans, but the notch on my belt did have to be loosened a time or two after a few of my feeding frenzies!
Okay, so it's back on the treadmill for me. Closed out the 31st with 5 miles and started 09 with 8.3 miles already. My goal is to lose the holiday poundage. I'm going to guess about 5 lbs, but I'm not sure because I've been avoiding my scales.
How are the rest of you folks feeling out there?

Well, I did step on the scale this morning and I have my work(out) cut out for me.
Way too many sweets the last couple of weeks.
I have to admit to not exercising as much as I normally do, due to to my knee bothering me badly.
I have been making-up for the lack of lower body work-out by shoveling a lot of snow and doing a lot of work in the shop and around the house. Boy do my arms feel it!
Just keeping the motion going,....anyway I can.
Peace, Bob

Carpel tunnel from over sanding and over painting and over shoveling snow. Both arms. This will not help me burnish decals one. little. bit. Time to slow down, darn it.
Sure is frustrating when your mind wants to do so much more than your aging body will allow, isn't it?
Time to get on my walking shoes again as soon as the ice clears. I don't dare stand on a scale. Lots of purdy's chocolates in this house as gifts. I'll just enjoy it till it's gone, then deal with the aftermath. Ice ought to be gone by then too.
All things for a reason. LOL I am of no help to inspire good habits!

I think I read somewhere that high sugar content in one's diet can aid in exaggerated weather related body aches. I haven't experienced those weather related body aches in some time but am going through an all time high right now. Weather is snowing off and on, then sunny. Seems abit coincidental that it's all at once. Anyone got any info on this?

Ah, I'm gonna to be in a wedding in June. I'd like to shed 10 pounds by then. My strategy,, nothing big. I just plan on eating smaller portions and knocking off the sugar a bit. May do a bit of running with Mack, my mastiff.

I am sick of all the goodies and find myself craving green veggies. I took a vegetable pizza (the cold kind, on low-fat crescent roll dough spread with lowfat cream cheese and mayo/Ranch dressing mix topped with fresh raw vegetables)to the family New Year's Eve party and it was the first thing devoured. Apparently everyone in my family is also sick of sweet stuff/rich foods. Glad the holidays are over! Love....Jill
