Celebrate what? It means that 22 days later I will be 74!

I think your husband should definitely take you out Jane. And I think it should be cause for celebration here too. I think I'll see if my husband can take me out too. Good idea.

I think the opening ceremony for the Olympics has it covered.
Posted by Sonny Franks (Member # 588) on :
The number 8 has a huge superstitious significance in China - that's why the Olympics will begin at 8:08 pm on 8/8/08. People pay big bucks for phone numbers and license tags with the number eight in them. (They also eat dogs, so go figure)
I think this would be just the right occasion for the ladies to take their spouses out - right guys?

Wouldn't that make it your lucky number? Posted by Mark M. Kottwitz (Member # 1764) on :

My wife and I got married on 07/07/07. I tell people she made it idiot proof, so I wouldn't forget.

As I looked at today's date, I realized that it should have been called "Procrastinators Day".
The numerical date is 08/08/08 - or if you sound it out - "Oh wait, oh wait, oh wait!"
Of course, being the procrastinators that they are, they would have missed the preparations to acknowledge or celebrate this day anyway. I'll tell them about it next week.
So I guess the next available date to have any significance to them may be 2/8/28 - or "To wait, to wait". I bet they'll miss that one too!

Was that "Procrastinators Day" or "Repetition Day"! Back away from the "add reply" button, Gene.

It was the best day I had this year, I made $800 doing 3 body shop repairs and 1 bicycle plus I sold my Scion, unreal huh. At 8PM I was at a Chinese seafood buffet and met up with the CEO of the Rogue Valley medical center and Asante hospital and ate dinner with him. Our conversation included me saying that my friend from Texas came here to visit with me last week while his daughter had a job interview at the hospital and wouldn't you know it, this fellow was in charge of the interview for Robert Beverly's daughter and said she was over qualified and yet hopes she will join their staff after they make her an offer.
