This isn't a chore I enjoy.

Over the weekend, at the RatFink Reunion, Frank suffered a major heart-attack.

I'm sorry I don't have current details, but he insisted I inform his friends in Letterville of his situation.

He was resting comfortably when I left, but has a long road ahead of him.

He's among friends and being taken care of.

At this point all we know is it was very close and doctors point out he won't survive another of that magnitude.

This is also to inform all that he won't be on the net for awhile, he asks not to fill his email up, be patient and he'll communicate w/us when possible. No phone calls please for those that have his number.

Again, he's alive, resting and among friends.
I'll come in once in awhile w/updates as I get them. Thank you.

Frank is a survivor and will pull through!

Heart attacks are not the killers that they used to be...I know because I have been through two of them. I just hope he didn't wait too long before seeking medical attention!

Poor lil Scotty...he must be going nuts wondering where Frank is!

Keep me updated as I was supposed to visit in a few weeks. I may put that trip on hold now.

Thinking of you mate ... and Scotty. Speedy recovery.

This news hits me especially hard. I had a minor chest pain in the weekend! It only lasted a couple of seconds, but very frightening. Although Sue wasn't home, my good mate Kel Lawton was here bashing panels with me.

I have an appointment with my doctor in a couple of hours from now for a major check-up.

Mr. Magoo, my friend, this disturbing news might not only cause us to pray for you, care about you, wonder where each of us can fit in your recovery, but to also consider what we each need to do to prevent the same experience for ourselves. If the coast wasn't too cold for you I'd want to hijack you when you get outa there. I hope Scotty doesn't worry so much that he starts smoking....

I'm with Si. If Frank has survived this initial heart attack, there's lots of hope. I had my first major heart attack on Dec. 25, 1993 at 40 years old. Despite not getting that lifesaving clot buster drug for over 12 hours, I made it.

It's almost 15 years later. Despite 3 more heart attacks, I'm still here and able to play with all my Letterhead Pals. Franks a hell of a lot tuffer than me. I figure he'll top my record easily. Hang in there my Friend.

Thank You to the unknown poster for taking the time to tell us about our Brother Frank. I'll never forget when my Daughter was in hospital a few years back. We asked everyone in the Letterville Community to send her a postcard unique to their own part of the World. I was there when the first bag of mail was brought to her room. Hospital staff went nuts wondering what "celeberty" they had in their hospital. [Smile]

Please let us know who you are and how we can bombard Frank with postcards and stuff from his Letterhead Family around The World. At times like this, we all need to know that despite our squabbles, we join together as Family whenever one of us is hurting.

In the rush, I totally forgot to include who I am, Mrs. Zanetti didn't forget though, I'm Frank's nephew Scotty's wife, Amy. Thank all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Frank had a bad night, doctors administered heart stopping drugs twice to change the beat of his heart. Still no word on what's causing it.

I've returned to be w/Frank during this terrible time, we're so afraid we're going to lose him. He can't hardly communicate w/us at all, he's terribly weak and any talking takes all his energy. I just sit and hold his hand, hoping he'll know he's not alone during this and that we're there for him. It's tough, we really love this guy. Scott will be here Thursday on and I'll return for a few days work, then back to my post next to Frank.

In closing, PLEASE, NO PHONE CALLS. The only phone he has is a cell and it's in my care, last night someone woke me up to inquire as to his progress, thank you, but please, it's something we need everyone to ahere to, please. It isn't that we don't want the calls, it's just not the right timing right now. Please be patient and as soon as possible, we'll get his phone to him, but not until he can handle it and I don't need to be woke up in middle of night. I know you meant well, but please, no calls.

ps-Scotty is in good hands, mine. He's been w/me, w/Frank, and will continue to lie at foot of his bed. First thing Frank will see is him, trust me. (and as soon as he can comprehend, we'll share all the love here w/him-God bless the lot of you)

Amy

Oh Amy, I'm so relieved you're there. Frank loves you and Scott so much. How did you talk the hospital into letting Scotty be there? That's fantastic.

Please whisper in Franks ear that Samantha and Kimberly send love and kisses. Clay sends his love as well but Frank probably doesn't want his kisses. ;-);-)

Please keep us posted, I've been checking the board constantly hoping for any news.

We love you Frank.

Amy, email me or call me (831-449-5019)if there is ANYTHING I can do.

Amy
You as well as Frank will be in my prayers.

Heavenly Father, you have called us all by name long before we were conceived, before we experienced our first breath. You knew just what our purpose was for our life and who we would touch in that life. Lord, we that have been touched by our brother and sister that have in this hour of need your healing, ask that you bring your healing hand upon Frank and Amy, grant them your strength and healing powers upon their body, mind and sole.
In the hours and days ahead touch them with you Spirit and speak to their hearts and grant the your comfort and strength.
This we ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Update:

Yesterday was a good day, overall.

The first of the day brought word as to why, a partial why. When Frank got his perscription filled, he got, w/o asking, a generic version, turns out the ave. picked to save money was in particular drug he needs, so it only performed at a reduced rate, resulting in a similiar attack. His correct medicine seems to have done the job, he's back.

By day's end the hospital released him to home care.(a common occurence to those w/o ins.) Scott and I have to leave, but a close friend of his here and his family are taking over. His friend and also employer, jokes about it as an investment in the future, lol.

All in all, he's feeling tons better, and promises to behave from here on out, lol, as if that's going to happen, lol.

We've already started process to get him to VA hospital in Tucson. One, it's the closet and secondly it houses a reputedly good cardio dept., just what he needs, as they still don't know for sure what triggered his heart attack, the second one doesn't count, that was a fault of the meds.

So in meantime, he's resting at his apt., w/Scottydog (lol-my hubby stills thinks he named him after him).

For the present, I understand, he's decided to stay where he is now for awhile, he's got a standing invitation from his good friends in Utah to settle there, something we know he wishes to do at sometime in the future, but feels he can't leave here now until all his problems are solved or at the least, dealt with.

Scott and I are leaving as I mentioned, Scott's race schedule won't allow us anymore time to spend here, and we've done about all we can at this time, the rest has to be done by Frank. As he's a very strong-willed person, we feel he's more than capable of doing so and has already exhibited signs or hints to that effect. lol, t he man wants his "space". Though I must say, I'd not be leaving if I had any hint whatsoever that he's not ready to fend for himself some. He's weak, but getting stronger hourly, so we feel secure in leaving, knowing full well if he relapse', we're right back here. Besides, he's a fine example of self care, other than his smoking, which he claims is over, he'd always taken good care of his self, so again, we're leaving. Thank you for your support of Frank, who means the world to us.

Oh, he says as soon as he can, he'll start calling ppl. and check in online to read these letters to him. Amy

First off, a hearty thank you, your voices of concern and prayers have evidently worked, I'm on the mend, again...

Talk about a blindside!!! Here I was, in the Utah mtns., enjoying myself, away from current problems in new digs and BAM!!!!!!!!! To the floor or seat as it were, HEART ATTACK!!!

Sneaky little bugger too!!! No warning, nothing...brush I was holding ended up on paper I'd laid down to catch any potential paint droppings (I was doing dash on really nice '56 BelAir and didn't want to end up buying owner new rug, so I laid out paper), good thing...and all I really remember w/any clarity at all is asking for a couple of aspirins when finally discovered, (had just finished conversation w/good bud, Coop; when it struck, he was first to me as I recall) Good thing I thought it was a high blood pressure attack and took the aspirin...the rest is foggy till later that nite at hospital when full effect of all the drugs they inserted into me, caught up and left me purging for over a half hour, funtime in the ol' town tonite for sure!!!! And no Boone, it wasn't as good smelling as the mush melon was, lol...

It was at hospital that true gravity of what had happened came to light for me...doctor sat and explained what had just happened and how many more of these I can afford to have...that answer was, not many...it seems I'm suffering for whatever reasons, from a irregular heart rhtymia...at one time, my heart exceeded 200 beats a minute...I was literally bouncing up and down on table in triache...the drugs put a stop to that, boy did they!!! It's a very strange sensation when ones heart is stopped and restarted, very strange...

Then, it happened again here because of a meds problem...if I'm being a little evasive here, bear w/me as I'm having to practice my new way of life in everyway...I can't afford to get upset about anything!!! So the less said on that subject, maybe the longer I'll live...and yes, I know that it's all hinged from this moment on, to the health of the heart...how I take care of it from now on, dictates how long it will last, full well knowing I've damaged it pretty good and a life w/o controversesy is now my creedo...

My days thus far are being spent, relaxing, ok, being lazy, happy? lol And must admit that it's not something that's coming naturally, it's hard being lazy...BUT!!! Too much and the little frog in back of throat starts his little war dance, first sign I'm in trouble again, so I back off and let it subside some before continuing w/chores or whatever...no work, not yet, don't trust myself to drive, yet...I'm just spending my days as if I was a billionaire...suppose the cavalier attitude will disappear at first sign of a bill in mailbox, then I'm going to wish I had the money billionaires have...lol

I'm really beat but need to acknowledge my nephews wife, Amy...Lord thank you for such a caring angel, w/o her here during second attack, I'm afraid the outcome would have been different...within 4 hours of getting the news, she was here, lock, stock and barrel and her 3 yr. old daughter, giving orders, taking orders, doing this, doing that, she just flat took over!!! And in a way that all respected her, even doctor ignored immediate family requirements w/her, of course he had no choice, like I said, she TOOK over!!! Ran all the errands, did all the research for the VA hospital I may be headed for, we'll see...I now know why my nephew married her, she's a jewel!!! God bless you Amy!!! Now, where'd you put the jelly???

Boy I'm tired, from last paragraph to this one, I just took a cat nap on keyboard, guess I should conclude now, thanks all, greatly appreciate concern expressed, I'll stay in touch thou I may be moving around alot now, different places of care and all that, you know...I'd love to thank each and everyone of you, but don't have the energy today, maybe tommorrow, nite.....

Frank/Scotty

ps-got to love Scotty, he hasn't left my side since Utah, thank you staff and Amy for setting that up, his presence means the world to me...(they even gave him a BATH!!! yup, he used the B word-lol)

[Cool]

Frank
My Cyber friend, it's so good to read your words again.
Trust in the Lord, for He is good and will come to your side at your call.
Pax Vobis, Peace be with you, my friend.
