It's a damn shame this post has a big goose egg with no replies......If I could make it, you know i'll be there to paint on your wall Ken, just like I did on your last shop!
The reality is the BIG MEETS are dying if not dead. That ain't all bad folks. the big meets are alot of work. I did mine in my small town because I thought it would create a different feel from the meets that were in big convention centers. Nothing wrong with that either, but the true sign people feel more at home in a shop atmosphere.
I'm sure Ken will put on one HELL of a show!
The small get-togethers are alive and well, make 2008 the year you go to a meet and see what the buzz is all about....!
Now get the word out!

I'm in, thats 10:00 minutes down the road. It sounds great. I had a great time last year, working next to so many talented folks was awsome. I got the reg. off the myspace and am sending in this week!

Thanks Ken.

I am in. See you there.
Posted by Dale Manor (Member # 4858) on :
If I'm still here...I'll be there.
I finished my portrait from last year, so i'll have to come up with something new to work on?
They need anything big on the walls down there?
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
should be a shorter commute for some Western MA and southern New England folks.
Posted by Robert Larkham (Member # 2913) on :
It's been about 5 years since my last meet and been a long time since I touched the brushes. I think I'll try and make it. I just had shoulder surgery so kayaking is out for 6 months to a year so I have no real excuses for not going.
Posted by Nancie W. Phillips (Member # 3484) on :
Hmmm...New England in May/June? May be a great time to visit this year. We've never been to New England, and Boston is a destination my kids have on their wish list (and me too!) Rapid Ray has bragged about Mass Mayhem to us on a number of occasions and it sounds like fun!
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
Nancie, New England in the spring is the best, unless of course it rains, then it doesnt stop for 3-4 days... of course this is New England and its MAy so the chances of snow are pretty slim.
Rob, this location should chop an hour off your commute too, sounds to me like your in need of a good old panel jam! gather up the rest of the ISPA and get on over! Be nice to Rouchon he only live a few miles up the road, he might let ya crash on his couch, that is if his wife lets him come out and play... Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :

Hey, Peanut Butter Boy;
It's about 865 miles one way for us west Michigan people. Which airport would you fly into?
Posted by Bob Rochon (Member # 30) on :
TF Green in Providence RI.
I know you asked peanut butter boy but that is the airport you want Rick
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
yeah TF green is closest, you could fly into Logan but its about an hour drive from there. I hope you make it out Rick!
Posted by Dawud Shaheed (Member # 5719) on :

Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
pfft, yeah that always happens, a guy with talent who hasnt painted in a while, goes to a letterhead meet and just "watches"
you are working for Zeke arent you? I would love to get him to come some how, and its been awhile since i seen Ronny Dion, its up to you kid, wrangle em up and get em out to Mendon!
Posted by Robert Larkham (Member # 2913) on :
Zeke, and I are day tripping down together. Probably just Saturday for us. I don't think I could get Ronnie to go. You must be confusing me being talented with that nerd (Papa) I used to hang around with.

BTW Ken I didnt notice anything about lodging on the myspace page. where might we find that?
Posted by Ray Rheaume (Member # 3794) on :
Harris,
Milford Ma has several places to stay and is a short drive down Rte 16 from the meet.
Hope this helps... Rapid

It was a pleasure jammin' with you, Captain, and the other easterners last fall. Some year if you continue having this meet, I would like to get back out there for some more. Although we won't have the chance this year I would recommend a trip to New England for those who haven't been there. There's plenty to see and the folks treat you right. Have fun!

I think I will start partying now!
