What are you guys using? Looking for something that ends up with smooth paintable edges, (not plywood) doesn't warp, basically half to 1 inch thick. I've used Extira for some projects, but not this. Is there a warping problem with it? Sintra definitely has a warping problem. We've been cutting Omega on the router, but shapes can't be trim capped and painting doesn't work well either. These would be mostly short to medium life real estate signs.

just use alumilite....if they are shortterm anyway.....I don't cap mine, they hold up just fine....in fact the PIZZA TIME sign is Alumalite not capped...how wide is the post that they are attached to?

Dibond will work but isnt as thick as you want. Do you want 1 inch merely for looks?

Not my call, the boss doesn't like the alumalite edges. Trying to sort of match existing with a better product. Half inch is what they are, just suggested inch in case there's something that works better in that thickness. They're short term but right next to housing sales centers, gotta look nice.

then go 30 lb HDU, you can make them as smoothe as ya like and HDU takes a variety of paint and adhesives....That's all Granpa Dan uses, and charge accordingly. Go bolts?

We use the white PVC fence posts that sleeve over a 4x4.They are smooth and have decorative caps. You can attach cross panels out of the upright 2" x 6" "planks"-slot the 4x4 covers with a router to the size of the upright panel end, slide in and mount. We rout channels in the small dimension of planks within 2" of the ends to slide in whatever thickness of material we are using. A fence company can do this for you so all you have to do is assemble and take the credit. We did a 100 piece order of 32" x 48" alumalite like this.
Real estate companies also sell the typical hanging sign frame that pounds in with a stake and then the frame slips in from the top.
Great for short to medium term and fairly reasonable.

Scooter board now comes in 1/2 inch.
I've done several on it & they are holding up fine.

Hi Dennis.
I think the Extira 3/4" or 1/2" would work well. Just use a laquer primer, but you probably already know that.

Sorry, Dennis... someone was talking to me while I was reading & typing...at least you have info for a post! Haven't had issue with 28 (?? 7/8") mm pvc though, here, with all the temp changes...it's pretty stable.
