It's a $75.00 liter full of fun I hear, dripped over a sugar cube. I hear it goes good with a 50 ring Don Diego.

Yes, and Laudanum chaser is also quite a trip down the rabbit hole.
I say stay away from Victorian drugs and stick to crack.

Send me $75.00 and I'll send you 2 quart mason jars of the Country's finest corn squeezins.

Just send me $75 and you'll feel just as regretful about it the next morning, if not sooner, I guarantee!

I caught part of a documentary on the travel channel, (Bourdain's No Reservations) about absinthe and where you can still get it legally in France. It seems the newer stuff is much tamer than the stuff that was distributed in the early 1900's. I'm not too keen on having to lock myself in a room for several days, so I can experience the trip without the possibility of hurting others. [Wink]

It was a pretty interesting show, though.

Surprising they produced as much artwork as they did. Absolutely amazing that there was new techniques, like pointallism developed while in that mind frame. Although I'm sure there is a lot of Artwork done yet today under the influence.

Pass the vodka will ya?

It is reasently found that Leonardo used a point tech on Mona Lisa. More subtil then the absinth drinkers version through.

I heard that the socalled weaker version sold worldwide today, is, due to a miscalculation, at least as strong as the one getting banned about 100 years ago.

If whiskey dont get you drunk, absinth will [Wink]
after extended use even might add strange colorful dreams

Abstinence from Absinthe works for me.

If I remember the above documentary- I think it has more to do now with how it's made, sorta like moonshine- if you don't know what you are doing, it could kill you. The old stuff seemed to have more psychedelic side effects - and then kill ya. [Wink]

HAHAHAHAHAHA- Oh wait, I'm a recently converted devout Mac guy now, I'm not supposed to laugh at those kind of jokes. I'm only allowed to tell jokes like:

Q.-What is the difference between Jurassic Park and Microsoft?

A.- One is an over-rated high tech theme park based on prehistoric information and populated mostly by dinosaurs, the other is a Steven Spielberg movie. [Rolling On The Floor]

Bring on the Absinthe!!!!!!!

Or this!

I just read that Marilyn Manson has put his monniker on a new kind of absinthe, and nobody likes it because it tastes like sewer water.
I'm not surprised!

I like Degas. Looking at that painting you can feel the melancholy of the poor lost souls.

How about "Green Dragon"? I've always thought there was a reason art nouveau had that "organic" feel to it. [Smile]

Hey... I have an open mind & life is very short.

(Seems to work for Jill.... )

I think that it needs to be said that the main "killer" of absynthe is the fact that to properly draw out the psycadelic properties of the anise and wormwood the added alcohol HAS to be nearly 100%. People died from the High alcohol content. Experts say the psycadelic effects are similar to drinking a bottle of robotusin. So Jill is right... Stick to crack.

Is sticking your head up your butt the same as crack?

Hahahahahahahahaha!

Is it a thinner? Does it make vinyl remover easier? More and more of these OT posts are going right over my head. I need to get out more. [Smile]

Yes Steve, Rapid Roger says that Absinthe is the main ingredient in their new product offering "Rapid Tac III". Doesn't smell like cookies but it works great. You know we only talk about sign related stuff in here. [Smile]
