Or statesman Si Allen is in surgery as I type. (1145 PM eastern)
He been complaining about back pain for days,, But it turns out to be much worse than that.

Aortic aneurysm in the abdomen. Been in surgery for 3 hours so far.. Marti, his honey is very concerned of course. They seem to be having trouble locating the tear. If he survives surgery he will likely be in intensive care for a few dsys at least.

Let us pray.

I will keep Si in my daily prayers, for his complete recovery. I know for a fact the God answers all prayers, in His time and in His way.

Heavenly Father, keep our friend Si in your protective hands throughout this setback, be his medication, strength and consume him with in your healing power, this we ask in your name. Amen!

This is realy shocking news. I haven't been able to fall asleep all night and decided to give up. It's not even 6am here in Ontario so there is nobody to call.

We talked with Si on Tuesday. It always takes 2 calls because I love to play a telemarketer. Barb pretended to be someone working for the Hillary team. She offered Si a ride to the polling booth. Those who know Si will understand how fast the phone went "Bang!"

WE're pullin for you Our Friend. If anyone gets new info, please give us a call at 519-787-2673

That was exactly what my dad suffered from. He has an unexplained back pain which the doctors eventually found out was an Aortic aneurysm in his lower groin area. He was 8 hours on the operating table but he came through it.

I am hopeful that since they have him theatre that Si will pull through. It's when it happens and it's not discovered fast enough is the problem. Sounds like they caught it in time.

Prayer are going up for you Si.

New Report..

They found the tear, and repaired it. Si is out of surgery and in intensive care. The rapture didn't just blow open. Lucky old boy got just had a leaking tear so they were able to repair it.
Now they have to do the wait and see part to make sure it holds.

Take care old friend.

Si, as soon as you bother the nurses enough they'll move you down a level toward home. I hope by now you're out of ICU and have your computer. You can run the world from there while you recover. Looking forward to hearing about the pain being gone.

Thanks to Rick for letting us know what's going on, Si. I'm not on the net any longer, but I'll watch this and call when you're fit enough. The entire St.Marie family will be saying a prayer for you this evening when we're together in Lost Prairie.
Get well, Si. Spring is coming and the shotguns are waiting patiently in the rack. You're needed on the field.

Update

Si is still in intensive care. Listed as critical but stable. He is under sedation and still on a respirator. They tried to ween him from that today but no go. Seems he developed a mean streak and starts thrashing around and being agitated at the the situation. Of course the docs don't like to see that because of the increased blood pressure and the problems that can cause..

Marti seems to be holding up well and knows all the doctors. She says she doesn't need anything.
