Hello all,

I am looking for a good source of magnetic letters like the numbers that gas stations around here are using but what I need are letter sets for changeable signs that are made of steel. A local church saw one somewhere and has made one but needs the letters. This is something that I could print than cut out but If I could buy them is pre-made sets that would be great.

Thanks Ahead.

I owned a Magnetsigns franchise for a number of years and they have registered patents on the use of magnetic letters on steel signs. Magnetsigns is active in both Canada and the US and they do not hesitate to confront people who use this style of sign without their permission.
Franchisees use .030 roll magnet cut on a modified Allen Datagraph Model 824 plotter. I once figured out the cost of cutting a full set of letters and numbers in the various sizes they use and it was well over $4000. Multiply this by the 4 or 5 colours they use and you have quite an investment. When I sold my franchise I had an inventory of letters and graphics valued at more than $25,000!
By the way, the franchise was very profitable and if there isn't one in your area you can visit www.magnetsigns.com for more information.
Hope this helps - I wouldn't want to see you inadvertently stepping on Magnetsigns' toes and then having to deal with their legal department. [Frown]
