Once in a while I have a sweet customer that ask me with the magic words "Do you still do some old school hand painted lettering?" Well, here's my reply...

Yup, life is good!

Way to go Pierre, keep the craft alive and well.
When asked what the font is, tell them it is one from your own brain and not one found in the books.

Did you have to go to school to learn how to do that? Can my son come over on his lunch break and you show him how to do that? Do you do that freehand? Will that wash off? Does it bother you if I watch? I once knew this old drunk signpainter. His hand shook like a leaf until his brush touched that truck. Great job Pierre; that gave me the warm fuzzies seeing that pounce pattern hanging there. Props man!

I'm surprised someone hasn't said this but- I suppose you're wrapped with the look!

Well done- great job & 1950s-60s look!

(shouldn't this thread be in the portfolio section...?)

Posted by Rene Giroux (Member # 4980) on :

No Ian, this doesn't belong in the portfolio because it isn't about showing one particular project, it's about showing the direction that the whole industry has taken...

And to me it says that the trucks owner is also "Old School Reliable". We just don't seem to see enough of that anymore. Great job Pierre! Keep the brushes busy! Don
