A customer of mine wants preferably vinyl letters on a '62 Ford pickup that has been painted with that new flat black looking paint. It does not get cleared or anything, that is the final look of it.
My question is, will our vinyl letters stick to it? Or do I need to hand paint it?
Also, let's say I get a notion to stripe a little on this thing. ( I would LOVE to, but I am skeered!)Can I wipe the mistakes I may make & touch up, like I would on any other vehicle?

If you do make a boo boo, it'll either leave a haze of the color or the flat look can get messed up when you go to wipe one up. Just a little rubbing will buff it slightly, but it will show.
Hope this helps... Rapid

Thanks Ray, I think I best not try to stripe on this one.
How 'bout the vinyl, does anyone know if it will stick ok to this?

W/O the clear over flat black, the chances are vinyl won't stick...also, if striping flat black and you make a mistake, take a rag soaked in clean thinner, wipe mistake off entirely and using a dry, clean rag, pat it dry, shouldn't leave a shadow...if you do this in same area more than once, yes, it will show...

Somehow seems to be wrong to put vinyl on a '62 vehicle. I'd ask for a sample of sorts for you to try what works.

I agree, Lotti. I would love to paint the letters on it. I think I may have to discuss it with her.
