I have a couple of large propane tanks to quote on. The designs are fairly simple (one and two color) and I can set up some pounce patterns and knock it down almost entirely with foam brushes at this scale.
Just wondering what kind of a price/sq ft would fit this one.
Thanks in advance... Rapid

Hmmmm....large? 6 ft long or 40 ft long? Are they new with a smooth finish, or old and all pitted?
Anywhere from $10 to $15 sq ft sounds good to me. Be sure to smile when you quote the price, because you know they expect to pay a measly $49.95. After all, you do it all on a computer, don't you?

Ray, I don't know what to charge for the tanks, but before you paint them, go to Lowe's and pick up some Shur-Line Pad Painters! There is a "small" learning curve but you will NEVER (on large stuff) use a foam brush again!! Let me know how you like them!

little more info....
The tanks have been sandblasted and repainted white...nice and smooth.
The first one gets a 130" X 80" red oval with white lettering inside. Second one is 150" X 60"...two lines of text, block lettering, black and blue.

Charge what you'd ask for an MDO sign of the same size & subtract the raw MDO cost.
Add a couple hours for off premise work.

Ray, I think I would be around $500.00 a side, for a basic design. Good luck.
