A while back we went with Vanatta Insurance out of Fresno because they advertised in the mags and seemed to be understanding about our type shop, that is maybe 2 or three people, or even just one. Then they got bought up three or four times and now it's Unitrin and that's just a big generic company. Has anyone found good reasonably priced insurance for the likes of us?

Has anyone tried any of the AARP insurance, for their main or secondary? Just wondered now that I reached the golden age of 50 somethin.

I assume we are talking about business insurance and not health insurcance. I have always joked that you never know how good your insurance is until you need it. I found out last month how good ours was. I have been paying for many, many years without a single claim. Last month our shop was hit by lightning and our insurance company had a new versacamm in our shop in less than 6 days. The router table arrived a little later. I am so impressed with the level of service I received that I will recommend them to everyone. I don't know how their prices compare with other companies. You were asking about reasonalby priced companies. I think it will be a little like sign companies. The cheap guy on the corner will give you what you pay for.

GRANGE INSURANCE

I used use Vannatta Insurance out of Fresno, as they know the sign bussiness and their needs. I needed them once and they came thru with "flying colors". I first met them at a ISA Show, they were a member and talked "sign language".
They now have been acqired by another company, H2 Insurance, 800-728-7632.
Let me know how they treat ya'.

Okay so I thought you meant health insurance. Yet, some were talking about business insurance. I figure both are important and worthwhile mentioning; as we are self-employed we can talk about both. God knows we need to figure it out and be prepared!
