It was most awesome! Weather held...The Kynaston Korporation treated us all like Royalty!!They are in debriefing now. What a fantastic part of the world that is! More to come from the picture takers(i had my trusty film camera) Thank you's to Daavid,Tina, Mum & Dad, and ALL! Between the workshops..Tom Kehoe sp? wood graining, lettering guys, carving,striping,flames, entertainments, FOOOOOD! and the high quality and creativity of work displayed, sends us home with renewed faith in the Art!
now i'm going to go for a bike ride and get pics of more Narrow Boats!

Hi guys,
This is my first time on this forum but having visited last week’s amazingly impressive Letterheads meeting, I was constantly told to sign up so here goes. I have loads of pictures from the event which I have passed onto David so they will soon be available to everybody! It was a real eye-opener for my colleague and I as we both had no idea what to expect. The sense of community was what really stood out and the Kynastons were so welcoming they really couldnt have done a better job. It was also great to see people who were willing to share their skills and spend time helping others. Overall a fantastic event!

As I said above I'm currently writing a review of the Llangollen event and was wondering if any of you have pictures of the finished mural and the Pinstripers Speedway that you would mind me using? I also only have the first name of the winner so if anyone could let me know the 11 year old's name that would be great! Unfortunately I missed the Friday but it sounded like a fantastic competition!

I was looking forward to meeting you again, Sonny, sorry to hear you were unwell, hope you're on the mend.
I got back to Sweden yesterday morning (tuesday) and then drove up here to Stockholm, getting home last night.
I have to say that the Kynaston family made that a very special meet for me.
I lived a little over a hour from Llangollen for many years from 70's until moving here, and so think of that area as my UK home, I was back in Knighton a few days before the meet which was great, catching up.
I drove up to the Kinny's on Wednesday afternoon, and was met by Manfred and Marcus, Cam Bortz, and Bob Perry, who helped with my tent (8 man tent for 1 person!)which was much appreciated, got settled in on wednesday night while Tony, Daves's father was keeping the fire going. We had a good night around the fire, catching up with people, and watching as new ones arrived.
Got myself off to bed only to find I had a leaky airbed so felt the hardness of the field a couple of hours later.
Woke up to a beautiful sunny day up on the hill, Heather was already busy making breakfast, which was great. The whole atmosphere from start to finish and after the meet had drawn to a close was fantastic, the company, the hospitality, the surroundings, and even the weather!
Thursday I took part in a carving seminar with Manfred and Marcus, and after lunch Wayne had a lettering seminar, that night most of us went to the Corn Mill a great restaurant in Llangollen, came home to another evening around the campfire, something too that kept the whole thing together.
Friday there were more panels and projects unfolding Tom Kehoe did a seminar on graining, and the there were others on pinstriping, and the Pinstripers Speedway, flames, and shadowing, that evening we had a hog grill down by the camping, and what a spread that was, again the Kinny's hospitality was faultless, great meal followed by a fantastic firework display, and another late night around the fire.
Saturday already....and time always goes twice as fast at meets or so it seems, you're just getting into things and at the same time its getting time to wind down, we had a do at the town hall in the evening which was a good laugh, and great food....and some nifty footwork, but not by me, I never packed my dancing shoes!
Sunday morning I didn't want to leave and there was still plenty of activity, that said around 5pm I travelled back to Knighton to say good bye and have some supper, before the trip to the Nordic terminal at Immingham, and my 26 hour freight boat ride to Sweden, it was a huge contrast to the meet 4 passengers on a boat with a 300 semi trailer capacity, and not so much as a word exchanged....weird.
I'll share my pics and a few of the ones Bob Kynaston let me have before I left, hope nobody minds, have lots more, if there's interest.

Great pics folks- AND WHAT A MEET!! I just had the BEST time!- and yes Henry its kinda freaky -when you hit Civilisation again and no-one will speak or even look at you.

We are home and all is well! What a fantastic time we had in our modern day tipi, thanks Ashley and Sarah!!!!!!!
Lucky us, people on the plane and in the airport were friendly! A bit of damage to the guitar case, but not the striping. Thanks Mike, Jules loves it! Both kids met us at the airport and we have many good stories to get them out travelling, experiencing other places. May they find open hearts as we have!
We are so lucky to have this beautiful letterheads family!!!!!!!! So much to learn from each other and well with Manfred around we will laugh very hard!
Thank you to Stewart and Avril for all the care and style; camping has never been so good!!!!!!

We arrived yesterday night save and sound after a 2 days road trip with a night in Belgium.
I cannot add much more to your post, Henrys report told a lot, and our pictures are similar. Thanks for showing them Henry.
Just want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH" to David, Tina and all the Kynaston gang for this fabulous event. Organization, seminars, location, food, people, weather, firework ..... everything was just perfect. Only the time runs to fast!
It was great to meet you all again. Can´t wait to the next meet.

Ben, or 'Beanie' as he is known by had a great time at the Letterheads meet. He just left the workshop with some 1-Shot and a few panels to practice pinstriping with his new brushes at home. He turned 12 years old just over 2 weeks ago and already has 1-Shot in his veins!
he got several of the guys at the meet to pinstripe and sign the magnificent trophy that Stuart McLaren carved.
