In the past, I have used a sandwich board sign which was made of a material developed by the Dow Chemical Company and sold under the brand name WoodStalk. The boards came complete with a melamine face, handles and feet. They were a very reasonable price and they had sufficient weight to withstand some pretty good wind.
Dow no longer makes this product and I am having difficulty locating a ready made sandwich board with a similar quality and price.
I have searched thru my suppliers and all I can find are aluminum/steel frames or intecel boards and none of these have the weight I am looking for. [Frown]
Does anyone happen to have any of the "WoodStalk" sandwich boards (32" x 48") lying around that they want to get rid of? Other than building my own, are you aware of an alternative?

Jack, Have you looked at Signcades?

I know they are plastic but they are ready to letter and the handle and feet are part of them...

The Tubelite Sign Supply Co. has a plastic (fibreglass) sandwich board that can be filled with sand or water and you have to screw or rivit a panel to the face for lettering.
