I am doing some retail shows soon and need to supply directions for the marks to apply their own. There used to be instructions with some of the vinyl but I haven't seen that recently. Can anyone help me out?

1. Peel 2. Stick 3. Rub 4. Peel off tape
Any more than that ... they won't read it and/or get confused!

I made up some instructions for customers including graphic examples. You're welcome to them if you want. I made them in Illustrator. e mail me if you want them.

Sometimes it helps to have them suitably clear, but suitably complicated, so that they read them, get shy, and say "Oh, I think we'll just pay you to do it instead..."

Jerry, your welcome to download from my website or have them watch the free videos (have you watched them?) www.rapidtac.com Its quite easy for beginers with the appropiate wet method.

Thanks to all. I should have given more information. I am working a county fair with a trailer. I have made various items to be applied to bug deflectors, rear windows, etc. At $10-15 per item, we cannot spend a lot of time. I think Si has the right idea. But thanks to all for the info. Roger I have not seen the videos but will do so today.

Hiya Jerry, You're probably best off photocopying the application instructions normally included with Gerber vinyl. They're black and white, double sided, and direct and to the point. I'm sorry to say that I don't have a copy laying around. Havin' fun,
Checkers

Joe This is a retail operation at a country fair. Not your everyday sign work. I DO NOT WANT TO APPLY!!!!!

Since these were created by other sign companies, you should really only use them as a guide to make your own.

jerry...i have a MOBILE SIGN SHOP...was doin this at car shows/race track. ya do 10 pieces at $15 and thats $150...AND NO INSTALLS..... what i said to people who bought R.T.A. is what i said here....YOU SCREW UP THE THING APPLYIN IT...I WILL SELL YOU ANOTHER ONE FOR SAME PRICE!!!! which they understood......as what the bought had the same GAR-ON-TEE as my magnetics do THE FABULOUS 5/50 WARRENTY* 5 minutes or 50 miles per hour...whichever came 1st, voids any and all responsibilty on my part.

Hey, heres a new concept O.P.; The OTHER GUY sells R.T.A. vinyl in the same market as you.
You tell THE CUSTOMER (no customer will ever be exclusive) "you screw it up, I'll sell you another one" 5/50 waranty!
The OTHER GUY tells them a few tips or hands them a instruction sheet (with illistrations) charges the same, uses the same materials.
Now this is important O.P.; when they do screw up the vinyl from you and want more, they just may feel you were not "service oriented" enough (or just plain helpfull.) So... they look around and find THE OTHER GUY, but this time they are looking at a much larger scale sign that has to be done by a professional and costs $12,000.00
Important to treat ALL customers SMALL AND LARGE like YOU wish to be treated, ya never know !!
