Hello , Having a slight problem with a design I'm doing on Coreldraw with my new Versacamm. I came up with a design on Coreldraw, I'm having a problem when creating a perimeter path that will be the contour cut around the entire design.
The design has 2 separate objects overlapping each other, I group the objects, I use the Outline pen to put a perimeter outline around both objects for the contour cut, but it instead gives each object a separate outline. So if I print and cut the design each object in the design would have it's own contour cut instead of only having one perimeter cut.

Not sure, but I don't think the outline pen is what you need. Try grouping as before, and use the Contour (Ctrl + F9 on my V.10) setting instead? You can then go to Arrange -> Break Contour group apart to adjust the contour thickness, color, etc.

Copy both backgounds, leaving the original art alone. Weld both backgrounds together and give it no fill, just an outline. Now do an inline contour the distance of your desired cut contour. I've been using a .015 inside contour. Break them apart and keeping the inner one.
Center it over your graphic, make it a hairline, turn it your cut-contour color, and you're ready to go.

Copy the two objects that you want to be one contour cut. Start a new layer and paste. Weld them together. Apply the cut contour color for outline and no fill.

In Corel X3 Goto "effects" and click "create boundry" if you do not have inner cut paths that need to come out , like the inside of a letter "O" then this creates a nice path for cutting overlaping objects. Otherwise the welding approach is the best ortion...
