I cram a fair amount into every single day. Way too much most days. But then again compared to my youth I actually take it pretty easy these days.
I've noticed lately that when I drive the ones who get hung up behind me on the road most often are much younger than I. It makes me smile.... for a number of years ago it would have been me who was eager to go faster and pass everything in sight... but as I get older the need to rush is diminishing... especially behind the wheel.
Its a curious thing really... when we are young with an entire lifetime ahead of us we seem to be in a very big hurry... with no where to go in particular. And as we get older with far fewer years ahead of us than behind we start to slow down... no longer in a hurry to get where we are going, no matter how important the date.
It should be the opposite really... for as we get older there isn't that much time left... and we should be in a hurry... while when we are young we have lots and lots of time... no real need to rush.
Life's funny that way.

So this would mean the paint you picked up had lots of time to mix well before you got there?
I hear ya. The way I tend to drive is to give a lot of room between the driver in front of me and myself. Can never tell when they might slam on their brakes or such. (I've been rear ended 3x at a dead stop so I'm a little anal about this...) So much room in fact that the tailgaters behind me love to pass and zoom right in front of me real nice and tight like. Then I get to start it all over again with the next guy in a rush.
Rush away I say. They've gained so much with me right behind them. Ahhh, wisdom.

I'm right there with you Donna. I don't see the need to advance one car length just to sit at the next traffic light.

Things like that happen more often as we age... just yesterday, I took a chunk of grass a little too thick and my ball ended up in the flood !!!
Did I swing at my bag? nooooo. Did I take an other ball, a stoke and a deep breath? yesssss.
See what age does to you ? I was able to refocus and finish a decent round still !!!

I had thought about answering this post earlier in the day, then didn't want to get in a hurry, so I waited until now.
Now, I can't remember what I was going to say.
I think I'll just go home and lay down on the couch.
Edited to add: And Murray, have you noticed, they don't have trailer hitches.
