OK, something to lighten things up a little bit. We've done top ten favorite movies a bunch of times. How about the ones that aren't necessarily in your top ten but ones that you watch a lot, like evry time they are on:) Luckily, Denise and I have the same taste in movies.
Grounghog Day......this one has to be our most watched movie. We will watch it EVERY time it's on. It looses nothing with repeated watchings and actually gets funnier. It's gotten to the point of a Rocky Horror Picture Show with us, we know most of the words We could dress up as the characters but I don't think I could handle the part where Phil gets slapped all those times.
Under the Tuscan Sun........if this one doesn't make you feel good, there's no hope for you.
Lovesong for Bobby Long....a hidden gem with John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson. Bittersweet at the end, you'll cry, but the character development is outstanding. Another one we watch every time it's on. Quicly becoming one of my all time favs.
Ever After......an really neat adaptation of the Cinderella story with Drrew Barrymore, a guarantee feelgood movie.
Twelve Angy Men....still riviting after at least a hundred viewings.
Cool Hand Luke........shaking it up here Boss, another one with a bittersweet ending.

I beg to differ Donna - "The Notebook" is in my top 3 all time favorite movies and I generally don't go for chick flicks. (A good friend of mine, Steve Rhea, did the location work in the Charleston lowcountry and is featured on one of the extra vignettes if you get the DVD) The ending reduces the Kleenex supply considerably, but the story and cinematography are worth it.
Another good one I just saw tonight at the Atlanta Film Festival is called "Darius Goes West", a very moving documentary about a group of UGA students who take a kid with Muscular Dystrophy across America. It's currently doing the festival circuit and has already garnered some big praise. Here's the web site: dariusgoeswest.com

I also liked Flash Dance, Fame and Dirty Dancing. Anything with dancing.
Another good movie, On Golden Pond.
Anyone remember Stir Crazy, and Silverstreak? I used to love Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor movies.
Chapter Two, and The GoodBye Girl were good too. (Neil Simon movies)

Hey, I saw the movie "Reign Over Me" last month. Adam Sandler did a fantastic job. Great movie that deals with the issue of mental illness.
Also: Notes on a Scandal was a good one.

As far as favorite movie, mine is one that all the critics and most everyone else hated. Eddie and the Cruisers with Tom Berenger and Ellen Barkin. Just a great story of a guy that couldn't deal with corporate execs opinions of his creativity.
